What is a mantra?
The very word man-tra / "man" (thinking, mind) and "tra" (liberation, tool) / can be understood as a "tool for working with the mind" or "liberation of the mind."
How to use mantras?
- read aloud or quiet,
- repeat to yourself.
The correct pronunciation of the mantra will develop through several repetitions. Even simple listening is a great way to relax, calm, and cheer up.
Although, for thousands of years, mantras used only mystics and yogis for their mental and spiritual transformation, to practice the mantras does not necessarily become a yogi or a hermit. Mantras are a tool that every modern person needs. If reading mantras and meditation will enter into your usual way of life, then soon you will notice positive changes. You will become more calm, balanced, and nothing can unsettle your emotional state.
What do mantras mean?
The mantra works whether we understand its meaning or not. As a rule, mantras are written in Sanskrit and their exact translation is difficult to establish. Sanskrit is very rich in synonyms, one word can have up to fifty different meanings, for example:
OM - The original sound vibration that underlies Creation; Brahman; Spirit; Primordial Light.
The meaning of the mantra varies depending on the person: what he is able to perceive, how much he has advanced in spiritual practice. The same phrase has a different meaning at different levels - external, internal and secret.
